Issue Summary
When importing a Word Document into Confluence, select Replace and delete existing children of Page Name.
Upon deletion, the page tree in the left sidebar has not updated, and it still lists the children pages which should have been deleted. Refreshing the page does not resolve the issue. Appears to be an indexing issue.
If you were to click on any of those links, you get a Page Not Found error.
Environment
Confluence Cloud
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a parent page with a few child pages.
- Create a Word document that has the same name as the parent page you created.
- Import Word Document, select Replace and delete existing children
- Complete Import
- Note that in page tree in sidebar, the deleted pages are listed.
- Navigate to one of the deleted pages, you will see Page Not Found.
Expected Results
The sidebar page tree should automatically be updated to reflect those changes.
Actual Results
Former page tree is cached, updates do not reflect changes.
Notes
If you were to include headings and choose Split by heading then the pages are split into child pages as expected, and the broken links are repaired.
Workaround
Manually delete child pages
