Summary

Copying text from Confluence pages (it's probably copying an HTML element that is generating the code block) and pasting into Jira New Issue View generates a Code Block and the text is inserted inside of it (Wiki Markdown).

Steps to reproduce

1. Copy text from Confluence
2. Paste it into a Jira issue using the New Issue View

Expected behavior

Text should be pasted with the proper format and without the code block.

Actual behavior

Text is pasted with a code block.

Note

Can only reproduce in new issue view.

Workaround

There's no workaround at the moment if there's special formatting in the content copied (e.g.: bold, italic, etc.).

If there's no special formatting:

• Using Cmd + Shift + V to paste the text works.
• Pasting the content into a text editor without special formatting also works.
