Page Properties Report Macro - Ability to define column widths

    • 14
    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Problem Definition

The current Page Properties Report Macro doesn't allow the user to define the macro's column's width.

      Suggested Solution

I suggest the macro should give an option that allows the user to perform such action if needed/wanted.

      Why is this Important

This feature would allow the customer to perform its own customizations and adapt the macro to its need, and using more the product to achieve what is expected from it.

8fdc4b1753b7 The functionality asked for in this ticket does not currently exist.  It is about defining column widths not about adding / removing columns.  The widths are auto determined and sometimes make no sense; we are looking for the ability to set column widths.

10d7599baca9 That feature already exists if I understand your request correctly. Within the Page Properties Report settings, click "More Options" and locate the "Columns to Show" field. Simply input the names of all the columns you wish to show in the order you want them to appear on the report, omitting any columns you don't want to include. This works for all columns except the Title column, which can be renamed but not excluded from the report.

I'm very confident this entire site is "not" monitored.

However, the "comment" feature seems to work very well in the past five years.

It's just that the comments are ignored. Utterly.

would also be super nice to be able to exclude some columns altogether. For example, we have a description column that is super verbose and i don't need to pull it at all into the report. people can click the link to the page if they'd like to see more. thanks 8fdc4b1753b7 for pointing out this does exist.

i am still very supportive of the original request of resizing columns. It is needed to be sure the information is displayed in an effective way. right now the system makes really odd choices in which columns get the most real estate.

Very much needed. We use page properties reports heavily to collect information on compliance requirements and readability is of utmost importance. Currently, often one column with a short text takes half of the width while another with a lot of text gets the other half wasting screen space.

Another issue is that if there are several reports on one page collecting similar information, they will have different layouts and the layouts cannot be aligned.

All of this irritates our users considerably.
