Summary

If the Clear Formatting option is used on selected on text, the inline comments added to the text will be cleared.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. On a new page, type text "Hello World". Change Text Formatting (as an example choose "Monospace").
      2. Save the page.
      3. Add an inline comment to the text "Hello World".
      4. Edit the page. Then, select the Monospaced text and Select "Clear Formatting" from the Editor Toolbar. Save page.
      5. It is observed that the Inline comment will be gone once the page is saved.

      Expected Results

Inline comment will still be there until the user clicked 'Resolve'.

      Actual Results

Inline comment is gone and will be automatically moved to 'Resolved'.

      Notes

      • I've manually copied this description from the existing Confluence Server bug: CONFSERVER-56190
      • Check the storage format from before and after clearing the format of the text:
        Before:

<ac:inline-comment-marker ac:ref="5c692807-ec5d-4d3a-bd63-b3a382d3076c">baby</ac:inline-comment-marker>

baby

baby

oooooooooooh my

      After:

baby

baby

baby

oooooooooooh my

      Workaround

No workaround to be applied on Cloud.
