Description
Issue Summary
In Confluence, if the user restricts a page for groups with an uppercase letter, members of the group will not be able to find the page in macros like page tree macros and child macros.
Steps to Reproduce
- As a site-admin of the application, make sure to create a new group that will be using uppercase letters through https://site.atlassian.net/admin. For example, "testiNG".
- With the created group (and also, the Application Access granted for the same, if needed), make sure to add specific users to the same.
- Add group restriction to a page with above group
- Add a page tree macro to display the above page mentioned in 3
- Ask one of the group member to access the above page with the macro on it
Expected Results
The person from the group should be able to view/edit the macro with that restricted page
Actual Results
The person from the group can't see the restricted page in the macro:
Notes
The query used to validate permission doesn't take into account the uppercase/lowercase of group names. Functionality wise it should be case insensitive.
Workaround
Add the user in restriction individually, or add user to lowercase groups
