Description
As an end user, accessing Jira comment using a permanent link is more intuitive and UI friendly when compared to clicking on the date link of a comment on a Confluence page.
Also, there is no help text which would say that the date link is in fact the comment's permanent link. When I hover over the date link of a comment, the link text is the date value which does not serve any purpose.
The best solution from user's perspective is to show the comment's permanent link as it would appear in Jira
Alternate solution: When the user hovers the date link, the link text should convey the message that the date link is in fact the comment's permanent link.
Hope I have a valid usability case here, so that we bring in some consistent and intuitive UI rendering across Jira and Confluence comments.
Thanks,
Ravi Varma
