Issue Summary

In the new editor, resizing table columns with merged cells doesn’t work and they reset to actual/preset width.

Environment

Confluence cloud

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a table with multiple rows and columns.
2. Merge two cells(vertically) in the first column.
3. Resize the first column, click on the second column and the first column width resets.

Expected Results

Resizing the columns should work

Actual Results

Columns reset to the actual width and don’t hold the changes made.

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
