Customer Scenario
This is a scenario where let's say 10 User stories were created in JIRA from a confluence page using JIRA issue creator.
Further to this, after a week in I add 5 more user stories in Confluence document, I want to create 5 more Jira issue user stories from the page and there is no easy way because:
- EITHER I can create only one issue at a time, so have to repeat issue creator 5 times and on top of that there are few issues with single issue creation as explained above.
- OR I have to create multiple issues, however in this case it will create 15 issues (10 old ones already created + 5 New). So this would cause duplication of issues for first 10 tickets already created in past.
At the moment, Jira issue creator wasn't smart enough to exclude existing ticket that has already created and it could duplicate Jira issue on this case scenario.
Possible Solution on this.
- Upon creating Jira issues, Jira will return a query or link that populate all the existing link from Jira issue creator and allow user to untick/unselect the ticket that has created previously to avoid duplication.
- Create an option to create ticket without the pre-existing ticket with the same information and columns
