Summary
Pasting link text and in some cases pasting extra copied text right after the link will result in this link not being displayed after publishing.
Steps to reproduce
Initial observations: Published page shows a blank area where the link is, however, storage format shows that the whole link and text has been encapsulated in a <span> that possibly has no display property.
<span class="icon" style="text-decoration: none;">*<a href="<HIDDEN>" class="external-link" rel="nofollow">TEXT HIDDEN</a> (Note Welcome* already in DefaultData)</span>
- Create a list
- Add an external link and fill in the URL and paste in TEXT for the link from the customer's link
- Copy & Paste TEXT right after the link in our customer's case.
- Publish the page
Expected Result
Link text and following text should show on the published page
Actual Result
List item that has the link in question is blank, and the whole <span> element shows that this portion is hidden.
Workaround
Pasting text as Plain Text in Google Chrome OR typing the text after the link text by hand results in the link being displayed properly.
