Summary
Creating Jira Issues by highlighting text on confluence pages is presenting issues like.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new page (no matter the template used);
- Add some text to the page and publish it;
- Highlight a word and select the option to create the Jira Issue;
- The issue is created on Jira but the link does not show on the page;
- Create another issue in the page using the text highlight option;
- The issue is created as expected and the link added to the page;
- Create a third issue in the page using the text highlight option;
- The issue is created on Jira but the link does not show on the page;
- Create a fourth issue in the page using the text highlight option;
- The issue is created as expected and the link added on the page but now it displays a Getting issue details... message;
- After a while, the issue where the Getting issue details... was displaying will load correctly.
The behavior continues skipping one and displaying another issue as long as the user creates Jira Issues by highlighting text.
For the issues created by highlighting text where the link was not added to the page, accessing the issue on Jira won't display the link to the Confluence page where it was created.
Expected Results
- Jira Issue created on Jira;
- Jira issue has a link to the page where it was mentioned/created;
- The page on Confluence displays a link to the Jira issue;
Actual Results
- Jira Issues created correctly on Jira but the link is not created on the Confluence page.
Workaround
A possible workaround is to add a Jira Issue Macro from the toolbar menu and use the Create New Issue option provided on the macro.
