Summary
Our plugin, "Approval Macro for Confluence", relies on the Connect Framework to provide a user picker.
One of our customers has come back to us with the following bug:
"A user who has page edit and adding privileges can add the Approval Macro, but cannot add names.
For example, someone creates a page that requires employee X (who has add privileges) to review the document. She determines that employee Y must be added to approve. She can add the Approval Macro, but when she tries to search for employee Y – or any employee – nothing is populated. The site administrator has to make the changes for her."
As the user picker's code is entirely on Atlassian's end, we cannot do anything to change this behaviour.
Customer's cloud site is clariusmhealth.atlassian.net
Steps to Reproduce
- Use Approval System Macro
- In the Approvers field, search for users
- Nothing is populated
Expected Results
Get list of other users containing letters typed
Actual Results
No users were found
Notes
I have heard this complaint from a different customer also. I believe it may be browser/OS related, as customers are on Chrome on Windows 10, though even then it is inconsistent - sometimes functioning correctly, and sometimes not returning user results.
Can be replicated on IE 11 and Edge.
