We wanted to let you know that this suggestion is not currently in our short term roadmap. We can appreciate this may not be the update you are seeking, however wanted to be open with you around it's status.

In Confluence, the user has multiple options to edit the table and make it look to fit better with the page's design.
However, in cases where the same needs to use a table without gridlines, there is no option to hide it. This is a suggestion to provide the user an ability to create tables without gridlines and another kind of lines/borders.
