Summary
When including a Highlight macro and setting it to 'display inline' mode, it still renders preceded by a newline, i.e. the highlighted text starts on a new line in the published document rather than on the same line as the text preceding it.
The mode does affect the rendering, because if it's set to 'display on new line' mode (block mode) it is additionally followed by a newline.
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
Steps to Reproduce
- On a Confluence page on edit mode, type a few words.
- Add the Highlight macro by
- typing
{Highlight}
OR
- clicking the + icon > Other macros > choose Highlight > Insert.
- typing
{Highlight}
- Insert some text inside the macro.
- Click on the margin of the macro.
- Choose Diaply inline (screenshot attached).
Expected Results
- The word(s) on highlight should be on the same line as the rest of the text.
Actual Results
- The word(s) on highlight will go to another line, making it impossible to add word(s) highlighed on the middle or end of a phrase.
Workaround
