      Summary

If you are pasting images directly from an image editing program from the clipboard into Confluence questions, you will see that the image is pasted into the question/answer as an attached image. If you do this with multiple images, then all images will be displayed as the last image that was pasted in.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Create a question in confluence questsions.
      • Answer the question and paste a couple of distinct images from the clipboard. You can do this by opening an image in any image editing program, then selecting and copy the whole image. Then directly paste the image from the clipboard into the answer. It will upload as an attachment.
      • Repeat the above step at least a couple to times to get at least two images, the preview should show the distinct pasted images correctly.
      • Post the answer.

      Expected Results

The images show up as separate and distinct images, as indicated by the preview before save.

      Actual Results

You will end up with all images that were added this way being displayed as the last image that was pasted this way.

      Notes

This does not happen if you upload the image as an actual file.
All pasted images have the same default filename image.png

      Workaround

At this time, the only workaround is to save the image and upload it as a file.
