Description
Summary
The backtick (`) markdown to monospace text is not working on macOS using the default US keyboard scheme
(screen record attached)
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
- macOS (tested on Sierra 10.12.6)
- any browser
- Using the default (U.S. International - PC) keyboard Input Sources
Steps to Reproduce
Try to use the back tick to insert monospaced text
- edit a page
- type `
- type any text
- type ` again
Expected Results
The text inserted between ` ` should be monospaced and the back tick characters shouldn't be displayed
Actual Results
The text inserted between ` ` is not monospaced and the back tick characters are displayed
Notes
The layout 'U.S. international - PC' is identical to the 'Brazilian' one
Workaround
Change the Input Sources configuration on Mac to Brazillian
