This is still happening as of today. In addition, trying to paste pictures places them where the page lands after jumping.

Still happens when including image, must be newest version of Jira, as I use Jira cloud (not self-hosted).

Note: The sudden and unexpected scrolling also occurs when you select (with your cursor) one or more cells in a table while editing a page.

I created a document and pasted in about four pages of lorem ipsum text from https://fr.lipsum.com/feed/html . I scrolled back up near the top and entered marker text "XXXX XXXX".

In a terminal window, put plain text into the paste buffer:

echo -n 'Lorum ipsum' | pbcopy

Return to Confluence, put the cursor between the X's and pressed Cmd-V to paste the text. The page scrolls down.

I recorded this with QuickTIme and uploaded to Google Drive:

            Hi david.biesack1 and scott.morris,

Could you provide my steps to reproduce your problem in detail? (a screen record (if possible) would be best)

I tried to reproduce it following steps in the description of this ticket but couldn't replicate it.

            Thanks.

We have Confluence Cloud 1000.0.0-c086d5afdd7 and this problem still exists. What release fixes this?

I paste in a small bit of plain text copied from  another app (just a word, no new lines, no formatting) and the page scrolls down several screens - I completely lose context. I've gotten into the habit of typing a marker like xxx so I can use the browser search to get back to where I was after the paste.

It happens less if I copy/paste text from the Confluence page.

            I'm using Chrome on Mac.

We experience this issue with the new Confluence Cloud UI in Chrome 61.0.3163.100 on various Macs and Confluence accounts. Safari is unaffected.
