With the introduction of Confluence's new look, the Blog option on the sidebar will open a list with the posts from the current year:

In the older version, the user was able to have it separated by months and years, for example:

This is a suggestion to allow the new Confluence look to have the blogs separated by date, as it was before, but, in the new sidebar.
