Better handling of draft publishing in regards to multiple realtime edits with collaborative editing.

Problem Definition

In it's current state when multiple users are editing the same draft. Any user who selects publish will push all edits as all users are editing a single draft.

Suggested Solution

Allow real time collaboration functionality similar to google docs where every version is tracked and saved automatically similar i.e. Real time collaboration in Google Docs. That is to say all edits are revertible and specific to the changes each user has made.

• It might be good to also have edits highlighted by other users and must be acknowledged by those users or at the very least the active "publishing" user before changes are pushed live.
• Allow certain pages or content to be lockable during edits to disable collaborative editing during that instance of edit.

Why this is important

This seems like a flaw that encourages mistakes without an easy way to mitigate them.
