Description
When I copy code into the code macro, there are newlines added for every line of code. I then I have to delete every other line in order to make it look right.
If I copy code from Word, I get THREE newlines added for every line of code. This is ridiculous.
If I paste in code into the regular Confluence editor without the use of a macro, it treats every line as a paragraph, adding unwanted space between lines; these have to be replaced with shift-enter by hand. Even if you select "preformatted", the pasted lines are reformated as paragraphs.
Why is there not a simple way to paste in code into Confluence?
This is occurring in the hosted Confluence.
