Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a new page with an Expand Macro Embedded within an Excerpt Macro
2. Create a 2nd page with uses the Excerpt Include macro to pull the content from 1st Page
3. On the 2nd Page, attempt to Inline Comment on text within the Expand Macro nested in the Excerpt Include Macro

Expected Results

Inline comment is added or converted to a Comment

Actual Results

On-screen message indicates Could not save the comment
Confluence logs show:

WARN [ajp-bio-127.0.0.101-8009-exec-9] [plugins.inlinecomments.service.InlineCommentServiceImpl] attemptInlineCommentCreateForPage The text selection is wrong

Notes

The inline comment only appears to fail when there is an Expand Macro Nested within an Excerpt Include Macro. Separated, the macros appear to work and Inline Comment or Convert to Comment correctly.

Workaround

On the Excerpt Include Macro, enable the option for "Remove Surrounding Panel," this will then show a message of "We can't add an inline comment to this content. We'll add it as a page comment instead." and successfully add a comment to the page.
