Summary
After editing a page, when you have a link to an undefined page in Confluence, if you edit the page without changing the link, the link shows as changed in format, though it was not.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page in Confluence
- Add this content to the page:
First line
Link to non-existing page
Second lineLast line
- Edit 'Link to non-existing page' to link to an undefined page:
- Start a bracket '[' add the 'Link to non-existing page' after it and close it, saving as a link
- Make sure no page with title 'Link to non-existing page' exists, as this is not being replicated in existing pages.
- Save the page
- Edit it again (it's importing to edit/save/edit as explained)
- Remove the last new line before 'Last line'
- Save the page
- In 'Page History' compare the last and the second to last versions
Expected Results
The only change shown is the removed new line.
Actual Results
The link to the undefined page is highlighted blue, though no formatting was changed.
Notes
There are 2 very similar bugs for 'anchors':
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-34243
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-31206
However, I was unable to replicate this problem using anchor links and these bugs are not new. Maybe they were fixed.
Workaround
