Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
We introduced this message when the user has hit the JIRA issue limit:
http://cl.ly/image/3Y3z2J1n2B0L
I've had a lot of feedback internally that the error message is confusing. Some problems:
1. We don't tell the user what we've done - we only show 1,000 issues, but which 1,000?
Suggestion:
- Remove the text "Error(s) occurred" change to
"Oops! We've found an some issues with your JIRA calendars:
- Confluence JIRA release calendar is very large. We've limited the number of events to 1,000 for performance reasons. <LINK>Edit the JIRA calendar</LINK> to reduce the number of events returned."
2. It looks like a very strong error message, when in reality it isn't too bad of an error.
Suggestion:
- This should be a yellow AUI box, not a red one.
- In addition, it should be dismissible - you should be able to acknowledge the notice and not see it come up again every time - an "x" up the top left?
Is there anything else we can do to improve this experience?
