Hi folks, my name is Daniel Ayele and I'm a Product Manager on the Confluence team. Thank you for your feedback on this issue. I'm excited to share that we have many planned improvements to the notifications experience coming to Confluence in the next 12-18 months.

Beginning in the next few months, we'll be launching a new daily digest that enables customers to get a daily batch of all of the page update notifications they currently receive from Confluence. We believe this is critical for reducing the amount of total notifications we are sending to customers and sets us up to begin to tailor and improve our notifications experience beyond that.

Second, we are rethinking how customers engage with notifications end to end across all of our platforms to make it faster and easier to collaborate with your team wherever you are. As part of this effort we'll take this suggestion into consideration. Stay tuned to our Atlassian Community and other channels to learn more as we develop and release more of these changes.

[CONFCLOUD-5002] Comment on page via email

This is a critical on-the-go tool that makes confluence flexible and usable by many users.  Though email notifications pull a user out of the app environment, it would be very useful for users that need to add a note quickly to the page.

Since years there are two Confluence System Plugins which are disabled and the name and description are interesting.

+1 We've already voted for this. It's an extremely important feature for us and we WILL be asking about it at Summit.

I think, in the meantime Confluence is the only collaboration software which does NOT have this feature. shame.
