I get this message when I try to post a 2nd comment anywhere in the site:

Your activity is currently limited because you've commented, answered or asked a question 1 times in the past 24 hours. These limits apply until you earn 5 points, then you can ask, answer and comment as much as you like.

This is absurd. I have to wait 24 hours just because I haven't earned 5 points in the Q&A game?!? So now I have to go answer questions and get other people to upvote, otherwise I can't do anything? This is not stackoverflow. Your site is useful to people, regardless of whether they are being helpful in answering or not – but it's not useful enough of a site for me to invest huge amounts of time answering questions.

If you want to put a wait period, make it 5 minutes. If you are worried about people spamming or putting lots of nasty comments, ban the users in question. Don't put unreasonable stumbling blocks for honest users.
