Situation 1: Saving manually
- Create a confluence page
- (OSX) hold CRTL and CMD and then press the Space bar
- Choose an unusual emoji (such as the one in the screenshot attached to this issue)
- Press the save button, which will result in the error that I have attached to this issue as well
Situation 2: Saving automatically
(This is what killed our Confluence instance last week)
- Create a confluence page and add an 'unusual' emoji
- Wait for the auto-save feature to kick in
In my case, I left the window open while I was working on something else. The auto-save feature tried to save the page over and over again. Our confluence page became unusable and we had to restart it.
We tried to recreate both situations on our acceptance instance of Confluence. Situation 1 was easily recreated. But situation 2 didn't bring Confluence down this time. It might be that we didn't leave the window open long enough.
