This improvement ticket is to track adding support for Office 2016 for Office Connector in future versions of Confluence.
Presently, editing documents in Office 2016 is not supported due to limitations in WebDAV with some Office file types and browsers.
Some combinations of browsers and office files types work, however there is not a clear solution to make this work across all file type and currently supported browsers.
We're happy to announce we've just released a new "Edit with app" feature, which lets you edit files stored in Confluence using your desktop apps. Open MS Office and other files types with the default app on your computer, edit them, then automatically re-upload your changes as a new file version.
