NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
As more people use confluence, it would be very convenient to have a jira issue create button/link always available. As people work in confluence they think of issues that should be opened. If they can click a button in confluence that displays a popup of the create issue form used in the Jira Macros, they can quickly enter an issue, and continue working within confluence. This improves productivity and helps to ease the transition of new confluence/jira users.
Functionality:
- Button is available from any page
- Create form remembers the last app link and project used. This is very important. If the user is working heavily in one project, he doesn't want to have to select the app link and project every time he is going to create an issue.
- It does NOT move the user from the page he is working on. It is a popup.
- Admin can turn on/off display of the button. Or maybe configurable by space?
- It does NOT create a link in a confluence page.
