    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

The "children" macro has an "excerpt" flag which we tried to use.

It does include the excerpt to some degree as expected, but the results are different from "excerpt-include". (you need to use one of the headers options of the children macro to see what I'm referring to)

The excerpt-include macro includes everything what's written in the "excerpt" macro
Using the excerpt flag of the children macro, it includes only the first paragraph of the text in the "excerpt" macro.

Expected solution: when using the "children" macro with a header, the behavior should be the same as "excerpt-include". (in the bullet mode, it's acceptable that you need to shorten the excerpt text)

Even better would be to have different "excerpt" check boxes (or a pull-down) to allow the user to control whether he wants to get the full content of the excerpt text, or shortened to one line or paragraph.
