Hello Atlassians,
I'd really like to request an increment macro. Here is an example in a table:
| increment | Apples |
| increment | Bananas |
| increment | Coconuts |
When the page is parsed, it would be shown as follows:
| 1 | Apples |
| 2 | Bananas |
| 3 | Coconuts |
In addition, you should be able put the increments in groups so you can have several on a page.
| {increment:group=fruit} | Apples |
| {increment:group=fruit} | Bananas |
| {increment:group=fruit} | Coconuts |
| {increment:group=veg} | Aubergines |
| {increment:group=veg} | Beans |
| {increment:group=veg} | Carrots |
Becomes
| 1 | Apples |
| 2 | Bananas |
| 3 | Coconuts |
| 1 | Aubergines |
| 2 | Beans |
| 3 | Carrots |
Also, specifying a unique ID for a counter would mean you can reference an increment instance.
{increment:group=list_of_presents}Teddy bear
{increment:group=list_of_presents:id=my_favourite_present}Optimus Prime
{increment:group=list_of_presents}Box of chocolates
You can now put:
"Please see present #
{increment:value_of=my_favourite_present}which was my best ever!"
In addition, you'd be able to attach child-increments into parents and have decimal-based numbers like 1.4, 5.3.21 etc.
Thank you for your time. Keep up the good work! d![]()
