Hi everyone,
My name is Sam Ugulava and I’m a Product Manager that works on the editor. Thanks a lot for your feedback. As we continue to improve tables, it's important to understand use cases like this. This feature is not in our short-term roadmap, but we will work to see how we can move this feature into our future roadmaps.
An alternative approach is to select the column, copy it, delete the column, and paste it as a new column in the new location.
Thanks,
Sam
As we're working through this feature and others, we wanted to address a lot of your concerns as to the future of the new editor and legacy editor.
Please read our recent community post here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-Cloud-articles/Change-to-your-content-is-in-your-hands/ba-p/1324476
Thanks,
Avinoam
Description
From editor feedback page:
How amazing would it be to simply click-and-hold on a row, move the mouse to another part of the table, and the row moves automagically? This would be an amazing trade-up for the wiki markup - I have to cut, hit up or down arrows a bunch, and paste from a keyboard, but I would just have to move my mouse if using this.
