Confluence 4.x Standalone

For technical documentation where there is a lot of tabular content, some form of table formatting control is sorely needed. The screenshot attached shows a typical example, where tables and headings/body text are interleaved. The column headings in each table are the same, but since Confluence offers no control over table formatting, there is no way to match up the columns.
This makes for messy looking documents. It should be easy enough to improve, simply adding access to the html width attributes would help a lot.
