In Confluence 3.1, there are now two ways a user can create pages directly from the dashboard:
- via the normal 'Add Page' buttons next to every space in the space list
- via the new 'Add Page' button at the top-right of the dashboard.
The default parent page when creating a page via these links is the "space root", not the home page of the space. If the user doesn't explicitly set a parent page, the new page will be lost at the top of the space, not discoverable via the navigation sidebar or page tree in the default home page layout.
The default parent for pages created from the dashboard should be the space home page.
