Summary
When creating/editing a page in Confluence, some shortcuts may interfere with the shortcuts setup within the web browser being used. i.e., CTRL+1 - 9 will switch between browser tabs in Google Chrome. IF we had the ability to change the default system keyboard shortcuts in Confluence, this would greatly help us avoid conflicts that could possibly arise like this.
Environment
Cloud - 1000.245.0
Server - Latest
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new page in Confluence
- Type random text into the body text area
- Highlight the text or place your cursor at the end of the word you want to change
- Press CTRL-1 on the keyboard
Expected Results
The highlighted text should change to Heading 1 text style
Actual Results
Chrome switches tabs based on the number key you press in conjunction with CTRL
Notes
This does not happen all of the time
Workaround
Rather than using the keyboard shortcut at this point, users can use the text formatting drop down to select the text formatting style they want to use
