NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.
Summary
In 'Product Requirement' pages in Confluence with Epic links, if we navigate to a different page and then back to the page, we get this error in the JIRA issue macros:
Data cannot be retrieved due to an unexpected error. Precondition Failed
When using back/forward button on a browser, it can miss loading the JIRA issue on a page and will also get the same error.
Environment
Only tested in Chrome and using JIRA and Confluence Cloud.
JIRA version: 7.0.0-OD-08-005, 7.1.0-OD-03-049
Steps to Reproduce
- In a JIRA+Confluence Cloud instance
- Create 2 projects in JIRA
- In one, create an Epic
- Create a "Product Requirement" and add that Epic in the Epic row in the column
- Add some other JIRA Issue macro to another issue
- Go to the Confluence page
- Navigate to some other page in the same tab (so there's an option to go back to the previous page)
- Go back to the Confluence page
Expected Results
The Confluence page is displayed as before
Actual Results
The second time the page is accessed, this error is shown in the issue macros:
Data cannot be retrieved due to an unexpected error. Precondition Failed
This error is visible in the browser console:
https://instance.atlassian.net/wiki/rest/jiraanywhere/1.0/jira/clientId/50c07907-2dc4-4c08-885c-f19b101eb484 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 412 (Precondition Failed)
Workaround
Simply refresh the page and the macro will be fixed.
