      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

      In Server instance, Confluence only users won't be able to view JIRA Issue Macro details added to Confluence Pages.

      Suggested Solution

      Confluence pages will still refresh and work, but not click through to JIRA, when a user has no JIRA access. In conclusion - the macro would still pull whatever content you want it to show (display options) and be able to refresh (in realtime), but the user will not be able to click through if they don't have JIRA access.
