    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

When creating excerpts on a page (which is possible multiple times) it should also be possible to select which excerpt to include in a macro. This way I can create a project document and include the excerpts from each step on a detail page of the step.

As in Confluence Cloud Excerpt Macro adding one more parameter named "Excerpt Name" can allow users to both identify different excerpts and also select which one to show on the page (which contains excerpt include macro).

[CONFSERVER-34576] Include excerpt macro should be possible to select an excerpt from the page

@f2b9d6e4f5ba Same here - German companies often think that cloud is an option - until their data security officer is brought into the discussion. Since the demise of Safe Habour it is clear you only conform to EU-DSGVO if you (A) host within the EU, and (B) not with a provider that has connections to the US (-> "Patriot Act") or the "Five Eyes". The company I currently consult had to scratch any other supplier option for the reasons stated, and because of their (government) customer contracts on top of that.

Cloud is not an option for us, being  a governmernt organisation in Sweden, so I really hope that Atlassian won't put all their future colourful eggs in the cloud basket only..

@M0214104 with Atlassian pushing so hard for the cloud (= a hosted subscription model, as pretty much anybody else, as this generates regular income and keeps support cost down), I (A) would not hold my breath and (B) am planning for, regrettingly, leaving Atlassian behind, after so many years.

as it is to be released in the cloud version, it would be great to be added here in the server version too!
