    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

You can add multiple @mentions to a task in a task list, but the second person does not get a notification in their workbox, and does not see this task in their task list.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      • Create a new page
      • Add 3 tasks.
        • One mentioning @user2
        • One mentioning @user2 and @user1
        • One mentioning @user1 and @user2
      • Look at the workbox for user2

      Result
      See User2Workbox.png

      • User2 only sees two notifications
      • User2 only sees two tasks assigned to them

      Expected Result

      • User2 should see all 3 notifications
      • User3 should see 3 tasks assigned to them

[CONFSERVER-26786] Support for assigning a task to multiple users

Add me, and my organization to the list of customers who would like to see this fixed/enhanced so that you can assign a task to several people and have it visible in all of their task lists.

We have multiple teams on different sides of the globe and people in the same roll in any team might assume responsibility to seeing a task is completed. Being able to see a task is undone when checking our own personal list when we might be the secondary or tertiary person responsible would be a big boost to our distributed workflow.

I have tried the proposed workarounds, and while I applaud the effort, none of them quite do what we need.

So seeing that this has been a longstanding issue and I almost ran crazy looking for a solution. I found one or maybe a workaround. And this is to create a dedicated page for reports and stop using the Tasks page found in the User Profile. This process is even more customizable and better.

            Steps:

            1. Create a new page
            2. Add a "Task Report" Macro
            3. Set the parameters to use for fetching the tasks you want. e.g The Space or Page where the tasks are listed, the labels (if any), the users the tasks are assigned to, etc.

            Hope you find this helpful.

Is there a source code for this?  I downloaded the Confluence source code and can't find it.

Why is this a suggestion? Isn't it a bug? If you're @'d in a task, it should show up in your task list.

I found this because the Task Report macro has the same bug: filtering by assignee only displays correct results when the assignee is the first @ in the task.

We also experience that if multiple people are notified within one task or one sentence, only the first one gets a email. Our workaround until now: notify those people in a seperate line, here are two examples:

            Only userA gets an email

This is an example text where @userA is notified first but also @userB needs to get an email aswell. But this does not work, only @userA will get a email notification.

            Both users get an email

This is another example text where two users need to be notified, so I add them in a seperate line

            @userA

            @userB

Maybe this works for task-notifications aswell as a workaround?

cannot believe this is not working... need to look for alternatives now :-/

100% needed. If my self and my assistant have a large task, that either one might handle. It would be great to have it be assignable to both.

+1 vote for this feature, how to rely on task-collectors when tasks with multiple mentions do not show up in personal task lists. feature is useless.
