If an attachment has two labels with the same name, removing one appears to remove all in the label editor, though only one is actually removed.

    Description

NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

There is a bug that duplicates label on attachments when new versions are uploaded and then labelled. This bug relates to removing those duplicates.

To create some duplicate labels for an attachment, follow the steps in CONF-26588. NB: This must be done in Confluence 4.2.x as that bug no longer exists in 4.3.

To the replicate the issue with removing the labels:

      1. Go to Attachments on a page that has attachments with duplicate labels
      2. Click the pen icon to edit the labels
      3. Click on the X of one of the duplicated labels
        • This will make all labels of that word disappear, however it has only removed one. This is being tracked in
      4. Close the label editor
      5. Refresh the page
        • You will see that only one of the duplicates actually disappears.

Follow the attachments in order. I removed the label 'test' in this example.
