It seems that the images are scaled slightly, which causes especially affects any images containing text.

Steps to reproduce:

create a page that contains chart plugin (including axis label or similar)
export this page to pdf
notice that the text on the chart is reduced in quality

An example where this is even more noticeable when using plugins that render latex. The text in the images is blurred significantly compared to the surrounding text.
