As a user i would like to be able to configure the fields of the Jira Issue Link so that i can have shorter links inline with text that looks nice when for example the summary is long.

      Success criteria

      • Be able to configure pr. link which fields i want to show in the Jira Link
      • Be ale to set the default fields so when creating an new link then i get default fields.
      • Default fields could as a start be per user

I'm missing this, too. Shorter links that omit the description would be useful for example in tables with several column. I don't remember the state in 2012, but now Confluence has a complete settings GUI for these links. IMHO it wouldn't make to dialog more complicated if something like the "Columns to display" input panel would be available to Single Issues, too.

Thanks for taking the time to raise this.

While I can see how this would help when you want to get things just right in a page, the real power of this macro (especially when inserting JIRA links by just pasting the URL thanks to Autoconvert) is that it is a really simple and fast way to get a link to the JIRA issue with some information there already on the page.

I really wouldn't want to making it more complicated by having settings as to how it displayed, so we don't have any plans to make this change.
