Add auto-save/draft feature for comments

      I have had multiple instances where someone was adding a large comment on page and lose their comment for whatever reason. Can comments be "auto-saved"/drafted like regular pages?

            I'd like our teams to start using comments on confluence pages as a place to add feedback (i.e. comments) while reviewing a page. Currently, we use a separate "feedback on topic X" confluence pages, which creates extra confluence inventory, and it's disconnected from the existing page. Feedback can be extensive, and is written during a 30-60 minute presentation. Without auto-save for comments, it's a big dangerous to start authoring your feedback as a comment directly.

            Please, do add this feature. I am suffering right now after accidentally navigating away from the Jira ticket where I was typing a very long comment.

            Also would be very useful to us... we've have some key users loose a significant amount of work when entering long comments that disappear after a Confluence crash...

            I'd love to see this too. In the meantime, can I suggest recommending users to use Lazarus (http://lazarus.interclue.com/) for Firefox or Chrome.

            We don't have short term plans to implement this improvement. Depending on how many people request it we might consider implementing it in a long term.
