Especially community posts containing code for the Atlassian plugin sdk are really bloated with < / > letters (due to the xml nature of maven and the plugin config).
It has become quite annoying to sift through all the html encoded special letters when troubleshooting with community suggested code.

      Steps to reproduce:

We have an internal ticket to track this mtr1789243905 as this project is being closed. I'm sorry this didn't have a simple/fast fix but we're still working on it.

I don't know why there is any need for more verification on this problem.  This is a huge widespread issue which makes the community's previous answers useless when code is involved.  It is affecting other characters as well such as & got replaced with &

I want my answers to be useful for others, but now people can't get the correct answer right away.
For instance, i just took 15 minutes to fix my answer on a question out there so that it will work for others again. This answer I originally took a ton of time to figure out and put together a full solution for other users on a few questions on the site. Here is a link to a broken answer:

Then here is a link to the answer that i actually fixed so that it is understandable again:

I don't want to spend the time fixing issues that you created. Please fix this on a global scale. Thanks.

            That's funny...
trying to show the difference between the escaped and unescaped version in expected/actual i forgot to encapsulate the actual result...
the rendered submission now looks like both are the same thing
