Clover supports checking for new version.

When enabled in the IDE Settings (Settings, IDE Settings, Clover, Auto Update) the plugin checks daily for a new stable or milestone version.
When new one is available a blinking Clover icon appears in the status bar.
After clicking the user gets a dialog with new version info and it is possible to install it directly from there - no manual plugin copying etc

It is possible to check the newest version directly from the Settings dialog or update the plugin directly from an URL - useful for installing quick fixes etc.
