On an incremental or clean build, for large projects it can take 10 seconds just to load the Clover registry into memory before instrumentation can begin. We need to use the in-memory registry instead and then resync to the filesystem in parallel with or after the rest of the build process. This should have the desirable effect of improving our maximum memory footprint. Care must be taken not to expose the model to any race conditions.
