When a user creates a new Service Desk account, they are immediately logged in, but unable to access the Confluence KB spaces even though anonymous access is enabled. This seems to be caused by https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CWD-2923 and https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CWD-4021. When a user attempts to access Confluence they are presented with a Not Permitted message.
Workaround
- user can log out and back in and will be able to access the pages
- Or, waiting for sync to occur, though this can take up to an hour
