Users are reporting that if a form (eg. a JIRA comment) is filled in, left a while and then later submitted, they get a session timeout error.

In regular JIRA Studio, the login form has a 'Remember me' checkbox. This sets a persistent cookie (seraph.autologin) which automatically logs the user in should their native session have expired (which happens after 60 minutes' inactivity). When authentication happens via Google Apps, this cookie is not set and there does not seem to be a replacement.
