Our Data Residency documentation mentions that marketplace apps will be automatically moved into the pinned region upon data residency pin for the product, and also for new installed apps from marketplace, if supported:
Any associated Marketplace apps installed or updated in the future that support automatic pinning will also be pinned to the selected location.
However, when the new marketplace apps are installed and then automatically moved to the pinned realm, the email message is not clear if this was the product or the marketplace app:
"Data residency move completed
Hi <name>,
We've completed your data residency move. Your Atlassian app and its installed Marketplace apps are now back online.
Move details:
Atlassian app: Confluence (<site name here>)
Location: US"
This can cause confusion, as admins can think that it was their Product (e.g: Confluence, Jira) that was moved, without any ask, schedule for the data residency.
This feature request is to improve the email message to clarify in the email what was moved with more details, such as the marketplace name, instead of the product, and to have more information on the audit logs/Data Residency in the admin hub for the migrated app and its location.
