Copying Automation rules from Production to Sandbox should include connections to tools like Slack, Microsoft and Zoom; and connections to Confluence & Loom workspaces

      Current state

Due to the rollout of https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-11161 it is now possible to copy Automation rules from Sandbox to Production (via Full Data Copy). However, rules that involve actions with other tools (e.g. a rule triggers a slack message to be sent) require the integrations with those tools to be re-connected in Sandbox.

This impacts connections to tools like Slack, Zoom, Microsoft, Google Workspace etc.

This also impact connections with Atlassian apps including Confluence and Loom.

      Desired change

After copying automation rules from production to sandbox, allow re-connection to other tools, for example:

      • Automatically enable connections from production to sandbox; or
      • When initiating copy, prompt the user to confirm if they want to add connections to all these tools as part of the copy; or
      • After copy is complete, provide the user with a warning and a flow to complete manual re-connection
