Issue Summary
BRIE backups are sometimes marked as "Success" even when certain steps (such as media/attachments export) have failed or timed out. This can result in incomplete backups being presented as valid for restore, leading to data loss or missing content after restore operations.
Steps to Reproduce
- Initiate a backup including attachments.
- During the backup process, trigger a timeout or failure in the media container step (e.g., due to network issues or large batch size).
- Observe that the backup may be marked as "Success" in the admin hub UI, despite the incomplete export.
- Attempt to restore from this backup.
- After restoring, observe missing content (such as avatars or attachments) that failed to export during backup.
Expected Results
If any step of the backup process fails (e.g., media/attachments export times out), the backup status should be marked as "Incomplete" or "Failed" in the UI. Users should be clearly informed that the backup is not fully valid for restoration.
Actual Results
The backup is marked as "Success" in the admin hub UI, even when the media container step fails or times out. Users may select these incomplete backups for restore, resulting in missing content after restore (e.g., avatars not loaded).
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
