Problem Statement
Currently, users can create and edit BRIE backup policies, including modifying schedules and storage options. However, there is no option to delete a backup policy once it has been created. The only available workaround is to deactivate a policy by removing its schedule, which merely stops future backups but does not remove the policy itself from the system.
Proposed Solution
Introduce the ability for users to permanently delete BRIE backup policies from the admin interface. This action should:
- Remove the selected policy and all its associated configuration from the system.
- Ensure that deleted policies no longer appear in the backup policy table or dashboard.
- Optionally, provide a confirmation step to prevent accidental deletions.
Benefits
- Improved Usability: Administrators can keep their backup policy lists clean and relevant.
- Reduced Risk: Eliminates confusion and potential errors from obsolete or unused policies.
- Consistency: Aligns with standard policy management practices found in other Atlassian admin features.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
